We are proud to design and supply the immersion tank for VW Tennessee’s EV program—a vital step in advancing sustainable battery technology. This equipment plays a key role in EV durability testing, simulating up to one year of harsh winter conditions, like those in Southeast Michigan. The process involves heating the battery package frame to 140°F (60°C) before submerging it in 40°F water (dyed for easier leak detection) for five minutes. Each test cycle consists of 20 immersions—akin to a Polar Bear Club plunge, but for battery cases. With a 2,100-gallon (8 m³) capacity, this system ensures rigorous and reliable testing.
