Equilam’s Salt Spray Test Chambers meet ASTM B117, ISO 9227, JIS Z2371 and among other standards, as per the ASTM B117 construction, the chamber must have a thermometer and thermostat to control the chamber’s heating. Equilam’s Chamber temperature is controlled by a temperature sensor inside the chamber to make sure the indirect heating by the water jacket is uniform. The control of the temperature devices is done by PLC’s or temperature controllers with a PID control. It ensures a temperature stability and uniformity, with a variation between +/- 0.60ºF (0,33ºC) and +/- 0.90ºF (0.50ºC) which happens inside the chamber among the specimens.
